I just wanted to be happy 
But I clung to an illusion.
  I just wanted to be loved, 
But I lost myself
 In the desire to have you. 

 I knew from the beginning
 That that road leads nowhere.
 It was beautiful what I lived, 
But my heart now turned blue.

  You were the reason for my smile, 
And I could only honestly smile at you. 
 Back then, I felt so alive, 
Now I feel breathlessly again.
