From the land afar you came,
with loved one's embrace,
the journey you did make.

Once the new land you reach,
good people did not you greet,
stripping you away from love.

They stole you in dismay,
one glimpse of rain,
sealing your fate far away.

In breathless wonder,
injustice prevailed,
your family sent beyond.

Nobody to reach your hand,
only embraced by cruelty of man,
to lock you in your dark despair.

  • I didn't completely understand some of the wording, but the writing itself is beautiful. Keep up the good work.
