I was a flake that melted on your lips,
 I was a drop of rain 
That slipped through your tears. 

 I intended to stay longer,
 To become the person you needed, 
But you were in such a hurry -
 That you didn't even remember
 Being part of your story. 

 I was a step you took,
 I was one last word you spoke,
 I was a glance in your eyelashes,
 I was: "I'm sorry, but I can't do this, dear." 

 I was everything you didn't need, 
I was everything I felt, 
I was everything you wanted to hurt, 
I was everything you denied in your life.
