HIDING IN THE SHADOWS

Darkness came soon enough
We walked into a huge empty space
And we awakened in the night
With your tender lips to keep me warm
We kissed through the night
Much to my delight.

The dark empty streets
Where we used to play as children
Were now a maze for monsters
We ran and hid in the shadows
To escape, and to survive
We did our best to keep alive.

Hiding in the shadows of twilight
We both fell in love
Kiss after kiss, escape after escape
We stuck together through bad weather
Living free on streets that never die
You and I, hiding in the shadows.
