Hello Writer's Outlet community. In the United States, we just had the most critical election in our history. So much was at stake including the health of our Country and the world and also the future of the environment and economy. Whichever candidate you supported, the most important thing to take away from this is that democracy is alive and well. The people have had their say and their will was carried out. No matter who won, if the election was decided fairly, the results must be accepted by everyone including most importantly the losing candidate.
The future looks a lot brighter. There will be better days ahead for us and for the world. We have a real chance to get out of this pandemic. Return to a sense of normalcy. Reverse the devastating effects of climate change. Restore our relationship with our allies and restore common decency.
Congratulations to President-elect Joe Biden our 46th President and Madam Vice President-elect Kamala Harris our first female VP. A truly historic victory and the start of the rebirth of a nation.

This is an historic day. I will forever remember where I was and who I was with when the official call was made. This election proves that goodness and decency will always triumph over darkness. I cried tears of joy and hope today. I can't wait for January when we can finally take out the trash and start the healing.
