I Hate The Night Read Count : 38

I hate the night because it has become noise,
The smell of yesterday's thoughts
Keeps me awake until the next Sunday.

Like an owl, roaming the woods,
I keep my eyes wide open.
Looking for a better place to rest -
On the trees, without "talking".

I hate the night because my arms
Get cold and the stars
Look at me from above amused,
Hearing me making plans
That can never be fulfilled.

  I hate the night because
It no longer brings me peace.
I can hear my heart crying,
My pulse goes crazy,
Getting lost in the darkest place.

  • 😢 such a sad note on the night for the night belongs to lovers, couples cuddling and kissing, making love till the sunrise. Great poem but so sad.
