She was gone, and mr. Mysther already missed her. 

Why did she had to go away on a single trip to the other side. 
 When he thought about her and looking at her pictures he couldn't think how a life would be without her. Still that is what he was facing. 

 A life without the joy, a life without the fun, no more entertainment at night and happiness at morning breakfast. 
Her picture remains and that warms his aching heart.

But let me tell you this.
