Chapter 2 - The happiest day.... not

Two weeks on the final preparations are being set in place for the day Rose is married to a stranger and Chiro is helping out for the money and the hope of seeing his love, Rose.

"You have increased security I presume?" Said king Jake, added authority in his voice. 
"Yes, Sir. All doors will be guarded as well as the enterance and village entrances." Captain Luke said calmly. 
"Good and the here comes Rose. Come here Rose." King Jake shouted over the hussle of the babbling villagers and servants alike. Rose walks over gradually, helping the others helping out as she goes. When she arrives the King declares "Captain Luke has assured me that the security tomorrow night will be top notch and everyone will be safe."
"Thank you, Captain. You know my loyalties lie with the kingdom." Rose would say.

Chiro was eavesdropping on them, the rose still with him, in his top pocket, and all eyed him when it was in sight and whisper to each other but he wasn't bothered. He was only interested in the princess. He managed to catch her eye a few times but she took them away, a sense of longing in them. The vase he was holding fell from his grip and fell to the floor and smashed. His face was one of shock, the kings of horror and Rose's a mixture of pleasure and hysteria. She was fighting it back and said "excuse me" then turned tail and fled from the great hall. 
"You boy, clean this up, you will have to pay for it and it is expensive." Exclaimed the king.
"But... but I don't have enough money to repay you, sir..."
Chiro was cut off as the king howled "well that is your problem then!"

Chapter 3 out soon. Will Chiro manage to pay or will he have to find another way to repay?
