Before I begin, I wish to appeal to you not to read to contradict and refute, nor to believe and take it for granted, but just to weigh and consider.

Relationships.... what is the difference between men and women? 
Nothing. 
We all want the same things....
unconditional love, 
compassion, 
respect, 
loyalty, 
emotional support, 
laughter, 
honesty, 
integrity, 
and passion.

Women are merely girls inside; who have grown up in a 21st century world that says they should be a certain size, glamorous, able to handle their own in a big way in the work place, just to name a few. 
And men are just boys inside; they too grew up in a world that says they should be competitive, macho, and provide security, again, just to name a few. 

It's all a facade. Those same men and women were once kids in the playground who didn't care what the other looked like, what they wore, where they came from, or what they had in their pocket. They just lived in the moment and that was good enough for them. Maybe that's a bridge we should consider reconnecting with; another key to know what it means to be "happy and carefree" again.

Now, love on the other hand, is a funny thing. You've unknowingly put your life, your heart in the palms of another person's hand and said, "Here. Do what you will. Mash it into mincemeat, or forget I ever handed it to you. It doesn't matter as long as you have it." 

Perhaps that's what Forrest Gump meant when he uttered this classic line to Jenny.... "I may not be a smart man, Jenny.... but I know what love is."
