I saw your picture yesterday
Brought back memories
Forgotten all about you
Those days so long ago
You reflected my darkness
And turned it into light
You gave me hope
When I was in need
We ranaway to a different city
Left all the madness behind us
Your picture
Your face
Still means a lot to me
You kept me company
Through my lonely nights
And I believed in you
Loved every word you sang
Loved all those songs
Spent my late teens in a trance
Induced by your voice
Even though I knew you
We were perfect strangers
If I could turn back time
Maybe I wouldn't go
See what would have happened
If I stuck around
It was hard leaving
But I did
And like that
I never saw you again
Goodbye old friend.
