My world was falling apart and you weren't there
Now I can't wait to get you out of my hair
I thought you'd be with me from the start to the end
Now I know I shouldn't even call you a friend

My world was falling apart and you couldn't bother with "hello"
You snapped the last string on my already-deteriorating cello
Now I'll never play another note again
Not that I ever could, with all of this pain

My world is falling apart and you couldn't pick up the phone
The absence of ringing left me feeling so alone
You added to my already crushing weight
You're supposed to be my best friend and you couldn't remember the date?

My world fell apart. I can't remember the last time you truly listened
You never saw my tears as they fell and glistened
Because I lost you along with everything else
Turns out the only person I can rely is myself
