It is not easy to be a writer, 

Digging your own hole.  

Reaching to the bone marrow,

To find the last drop of rain.  
It is not easy to write and pretend

 That you can control all the feelings 

That come out of your bones, 

Not even knowing why they were hidden there. 
 It is not easy to expose your soul to people, 

To people who read your words 

But cannot understand your story.

I know what they understand depends on them - 

And we cannot always explain them. 
 It's not easy to write about things 

You want to change but you can't.

 Trying to make a better world,

 Sometimes you feel like you're trying in vain. 
 It is not easy to be a writer,

 This means to have a soul made of silk.

 It is not easy to be a writer, 

This means to have an old soul full of think.
