Today I was scheduled to have a mastectomy of my left breast. I’ll be honest, I wasn’t mentally ready. But every time I think of my husband I feel like I could do it. Like we will be equal. He’s missing his left leg and I would be missing my left breast. So I guess looking at it from that perspective makes me feel better.
