I saw a girl who was in the rain
she was smiling but in truth in pain
then there was a boy who was all alone
all alone weeping on his own

they found each other on an empty street
their hearts sudenly on the same beat
and they felt their souls were connected
all of these they never expected

their lives changed, as if there was nothing bad
they had what they needed and what they never had
their life seemed brighter
and their problems all lighter

but it can only go so far
cant always be wishing on a star
love can be the best thing you get
but bad things follow good, i bet

then it was good but pain followed
without a doubt their hearts hollowed
they thought that they were free as a dove
but theres no such thing as a perfect love
