We all talk everyday; from the time we wake up right to the time before we go to sleep. We talk to our parents or siblings, roommate or spouse, school friends or office colleagues, we seem to have plenty to talk about each day.

However, do you know that the most important conversation you will ever have is the one you have with yourself? It's true.

You have to be careful though of how you talk to yourself because guess what? You are listening.

Some of us spend so much time berating ourselves, criticising ourselves that this inner critic keeps us in shackles of being a victim. Some of us may blame others and unfavorable circumstances for what we aren't able to achieve while we remain totally unaware that our negative self-talk is the actual cause of our circumstances.

So for a change, open a loving and healthy dialogue with yourself.
Be kind to yourself by giving yourself a break from self-imposed blame, shame and guilt.
Be loving and compassionate towards yourself in the same way you would show love and compassion towards others.
Give yourself a benefit of doubt for not being able to make right decisions as it is too unrealistic not to make mistakes.
And always bear in mind that wrong choices and mistakes need not define us.
Lastly, get the hell out of the shadow of guilt and regret and accept, fully accept yourself for who you are.

Self-acceptance and positive self-talk is the key you have been looking for to unlock your potential.

Take your power back.
Turn your crawl into a walk,
your walk into a run,
and your run into a soar.
Because that's what you are meant for.

And at the end of the day, know that you really are worth it.
