With the seasonal flu eventually dying with the blistering heat of the summer sun every year, unfortunately we aren't seeing that happen at its normal pace. This isn't due to any man made biochemical that cannot be destroyed, nor calling the supposed “disease” by its purported cause, SARS-CoV-2. (However, I was a bit concerned when they popped SARS in the title, considering it has a patent—US2006257852.) This is due to the lockdown implemented with fearful people staying indoors. Not to mention, it is way too f***ing hot outside.
Whether it's SARS-CoV-2 or the more trendy buzzword "Covid," the safety regulations being implemented are in fact doing more harm than good—the same would be true if there actually was a real "super" virus. Not one such as this which nothing more than the common flu.
Back in May 2020, there was discussion on how long SARS-CoV-2 might live on a surface. However, the question is not how long it might live on a surface, but how infectious that virus from a surface might be.
A study published in the New England Journal of Medicine found that viable coronavirus could live on some surfaces, such as plastic and stainless steel, for three days, while surviving for up to 24-hours on cardboard. Two weeks after the finding, a CDC report said that genetic material from coronavirus was found on surfaces in the Diamond Princess cruise ship 17 days after passengers left their cabins. Neither of these studies had confirmed whether coronavirus spread easily on surfaces.
In fact, Joseph Vinetz, a professor of medicine at Yale and infectious disease researcher, said in March that the CDC report “has zero relevance to the ongoing epidemic.”
Let’s review what we think we know. SARS-CoV-2 viral particles can survive for about a day on cardboard and up to three days on plastic and stainless steel. Why did it survive longer on the Diamond Princess?
Were these areas of the ship that were closed-off after passengers had left?
Did they remain closed, becoming warm and humid?
A virus should thrive and replicate in these conditions, right?
No, my friend, because there was no organism to host them. That is, the viral particles had become weaker.
It’s important to remember that genetic material and an infectious virus are not the same. It also can't be regenerated to produce an infectious virus if it has been in dry air or on dry surfaces for more than a few minutes. Yes, you can find it, but it has essentially been disabled.
Further on in the article, another professor from Yale noted, “the process of a person getting infected with COVID-19 by touching a surface requires ‘the outer shell of the virus’ to remain intact, which remains difficult with proper hand washing and surface cleaning.”
From the evidence, it appears the only way you’re going to get infected with SARS-CoV-2 or Covid-19—or the flu, for that matter— is from somebody who is infected and sick breathing, sneezing, or coughing on you. If they aren’t sick, you can enjoy all the normal interactions with that person. Hence, the implementation of everyone's new favorite fashion trend: face masks!
In tradition of keeping with my favorite new thing—telling you what the media should be but isn't telling you—let's take a look at what's really going on with mainstream "doctors" making everyday Halloween. I'm still surprised a friend of mine seems to be the only person taking advantage of this by wearing his Bane mask everywhere (from The Dark Knight Rises).
First and foremost, some statistics (real ones): When one takes a breath, he/she inhales 21% oxygen, 0.04% carbon dioxide, and 79% nitrogen. When one exhales, the nitrogen released remains the same, but the oxygen lowers to 16%, while the carbon dioxide increases a hundredfold to 4%.
With each inhale and exhale, more oxygen becomes depleted while more carbon dioxide is produced. OSHA regulations state, "an oxygen deficient atmosphere is one that contains less than 19.5% oxygen, which can cause death."
Despite the media trying to debunk that two kids in China had died while running in gym class as a result of wearing face masks (Click here) running with a face covering is clearly insane.
Claire Gillespie at Health.com, states the obvious, "When it comes to face masks, we know they're not all made equally. The extent to which a mask could affect CO2 levels depends on what it's made of, and how tightly it fits."
Thank you, Claire. But she does reference a more reliable source, the National Institutes of Health, that warn of CO2 levels: "… inhaling huge levels of carbon dioxide may be life-threatening. Hypercapnia (CO2 toxicity) can also cause headaches, vertigo, double-vision, an inability to concentrate, tinnitus, seizures, or suffocation due to displacement of air."
And this doesn’t consider how low oxygen and high carbon dioxide levels can impact other biological processes in the body. These considerations were detailed in a long letter from four researchers from University College London and published in the British Medical Journal in April 2020:
"Face masks make breathing more difficult. For people with COPD, face masks are in fact intolerable to wear as they worsen their breathlessness. Moreover, a fraction of carbon dioxide previously exhaled is inhaled at each respiratory cycle. Those two phenomena increase breathing frequency and deepness, and hence they may increase the amount of inhaled and exhaled air. This may worsen the burden of COVID-19 if infected people wearing masks spread more contaminated air. This may also worsen the clinical condition of infected people if the enhanced breathing pushes the viral load down into their lungs."
In other words, besides the fact that people with COPD, asthma, or any other respiratory condition, should not be wearing masks, people wearing them who are infectious, or sick, are making themselves more sick. But that's not all folks!
Our immune system is designed to limit the spread of pathogens we are exposed to. One of the main factors in how well our immune system works depends on the level of stressors that happen to us. For example, a lack of oxygen can lower the functioning of the immune system. Well, so does stress. If we are in a fearful state, it negatively affects the functioning of our immune system.
It’s difficult to escape the conclusion that everything that’s being done in the public arena and by our media outlets is crippling the proper working of our immune system; but in today's world, that's just how the cookie crumbles—hopefully, not for long.As for now, even if you're still not sure what to believe, let's consider this information and think twice before we "shame" someone for refusing to wear a face mask.
