A single tear fellDown her cheek
As she looked in the mirror
To see what was there
A reflection she saw
She didn’t recognize
Dark circles replaced
The smile in her eyes
Unable to speak
For the past seven years
Walking alone
Without any hope
As her soul had been broken
And her world fell apart
Shattered to pieces
No one could replace
For the girl she knew
From so long ago
Was no longer there
Deep in her soul
As nothing was left
But a faint memory
Drowning in sorrow
As she felt all alone
With no one there
To soothe her soul 
Except for the girl
Looking back without hope
