At the end of the day, 
Who really wants to be alone?  
In the early morning,
 Who wants to wake up alone?

  I read many love stories,
 I lived a few with a tumultuous ending, 
And I woke up alone in a relationship 
Even though I still loved my partner.  

At the end of the day, 
When you get home 
And know that no one is there 
Waiting for you to come,
 You realize how lonely you are.  

When you wake up in the morning 
And see that you have no one 
To drink your coffee with, 
You feel the emptiness in your soul 
That cannot be filled with anything.

At the end of the day, 
Who really wants to be alone?  
In the early morning,
 Who wants to wake up alone?
