My biggest regret.
Never letting those words out.
That night when you called and needed someone to talk to.
I started to somewhat run before ending the call on the way out the door.
You were already waiting there.
Then we sat on the concrete parking stop.
You explained what was wrong.
Then put your head on my shoulder then said you were getting slightly colder.
I gave you my coat and told you everything would work itself out.
I hugged you, I never wanted to let go, but I did just the opposite.
I wanted to say those words but I didn't know if I should.
I'm a guy who rarely ever took risks.
So now, this thought sits, still one of my biggest regrets.
I love you still.
Always have, always will.
