                       Chapter 2.
                      The course.
Who are you? I demanded. Silence Cherubin said in a voice like silk but still firm. You are in Limbo a place in between life and death between heaven and hell. I gulped. What are you? I asked. She stopped I am a psychopomp a guide to the dead and you are the average client now come.

Unable to say a word I followed her to a small cabin . She opened the door and welcomed me inside. She sat down at a small round table and gestured for me to sit. I listened and sat down I began to look around at all the trinkets she had. She cleared her throat it startled me she sat calm. Now I know your name what I want to know is how you died. How I died I began to think how did I die I don't "I can't remember"
A cold chill flew past me I was scared. As if she could rread my mind she said Don't be afraid that is why I am here to help you move on. She smiled but no light was in her eyes
Tell me what you can remember she said still smiling probably trying to make me feel safe not succeeding sadly. I began to think I remember my older brother Vincent and how he loved to pick on me, my mom and how she was always in the kitchen making something amazing and my dad who loved to watch movies with me.
My heart began to hurt if I really was in Limbo I would never see my family again. Now now Joy Cherubin said it's alright you will be alright. My voice begins to break but it's not I will never see my family again and now they will never see me. She breathed in slowly.
Do you remember how you died "no" I said. I remember going on a afternoon stroll with my dog "I was stammering clearly the shock had worn off". And.... That's it. She didn't seem surprised by my lack of knowledge so that made me feel like the average dead person.
