This was the scene I walked out to. A mother and her newborn foal were drinking from a shallow point in our yard. Not the lake we built but the pond that was close to the house. "Hey mama and baby you must be so cold and probably very hungry, I'm Lonewolf how are you?" "We are good. Hungry and cold like you said." I almost fell over backwards and Freeway shook herself and asked, did the horse talk? Did she mama?" "She sure did! And mama and baby this is Freeway!" "Hi little one how are you?" Freeway said, "I am doing very good and more importantly how are you and your beautiful baby doing? It was a very cold night out!" "Yes it was," the mother agreed! "Well tonight you'll be warm and comfy! "So we can stay?" "Yes mama of course you can!!" I said, "who has been whipping you?" "That's what I was going to tell you...Our Owner was whipping me all the time! I couldn't let my newborn be subject to that because it would kill her!" "Yes it would! Just then this old shambles of a truck pulled into the driveway. A man got out of it and started towards me. I said, "far enough! "I'm comming after the horse I had, she ran away during the night." "I confiscated these horses! You sir are under arrest." I mirandized him. And I started forward and he brought out his whip and started whipping me, and that damn whip had spikey things on it! He got one more whip in before I was able to shoot him right in the hand and the whip fell to the ground. He picked it up again and whipped me yet again! What the hell is wrong with you? Put the whip down or I will be forced to shoot you again! He whipped me yet again, well this time I shot him in his shoulder and hand, and for good measures I shot him in his other shoulder! I then went over to him and hand cuffed and shackled him! "Chief Lonewolf to any available unit that can come to my home for one transport to Impediment Center." Daddy Rafe came running over to where I was. I was back too him bent over my head against mama horse. I was hurting. "Oh babe your cut up bad!" All I had on was a tee shirt and that whip had demolished my shirt and did a number on me. Johnson and Kim arrived on scene and shortly after that came Copper and Bullet. Then came Terrie and bubbles. Then came Leroy and Rose. One by One the whole day crew arrived Copper and Bullet put the prisoner in their car. We had layed him on his stomach brought his feet up to his hands and hog tied him. Then we belted him in. "You up for coffee Lonewolf," Johnson asked? "Come on let's go get some coffee!" And we did. Daddy Dillan was working on my back. After I finished having one cup of coffee. I had been scooped and laid on the couch on my belly. There now I can get you good! He washed up very well and washed my back very well. Then he stitched me up. "Boy honey that Bastard did a number on you! What the hell was he thinking?" I said, "he wasn't thinking! Then he rolled me over and did the same with my belly and shoulder. Then he carefully scrubbed my face where I got hit then the other half to make sure nothing dribbled over to the other side. He stitched what was above my eyes and my cheek. Then he noticed my eyelid because it was drooping very badly. He got looking into it more thoroughly and said,  "Sorry honey this one is for Uncle Doc." I went upstairs and put a different shirt on. I came downstairs and said, "let's go if we're going to go! "We have time for another cup of coffee." So we did. Dillon came up to me with a special eyepatch that didn't touch my eye. He put it in place then wrapped a different wrapping around my head! "What the hell, I can't believe he whipped me! I think the jerk was trying to kill me. Did mama horse and baby get put into the barn?" Dillon said, "yes they did Lonewolf."
So we finally headed to the hospital to get my eye checked out. The eye was OK but my eyelid needed attention. So uncle Doc went to work sewing my eyelid up. He also gave mom eye drops to put in my eye. 2 drops 3 times a day for 14 days. She will be as good as new. If not contact me and I'll check her again.
