Heartache, 
heartbreak, 
after all of the pain, 
my choice to love, remains. 

I’ve felt it bloom 
between broken souls, 
tasted it after years 
of swallowing bitterness, 
heard it in voices
that once forgot how to sing, 
smelled it in flowers 
that should’ve never
survived the storm.

Love is everywhere  
I'd never expect it to be.

Love; 
it’s bigger than hate, 
it's stronger than pain,
it shines in the darkness, 
it falls with the rain.
