Softly tumbling
And so they came
There was naught a rumbling
Some were coloured as if aflame

A carpet grew upon the Earth
Soft and mellow colours all
To feed the birth
Oh how they fall one and all

Summers leaves lay thick and thin
The smile of Mother shines in spring
Beneath the surface they lay within
And from the Earth they would spring

Stretching upward they would strive
To break free was the aim
With the Sun they would survive
Survival, it was the game

It is Mothers master plan
From last years seeds
New life began
The cycle will proceed
