Why hate on someone who bleeds the same as you 
Why not show sympathy the ones that need it
Why stand divided when we can stand together
Why can’t we say enough is enough 
I put my life on the line everyday as a civilian 
And I am still afraid 
Why should I be afraid to be black but others do not have to fear to be their skin color
Why should I hide my identity, skills and talent
When others are showing their true colors
When will I be looked at as equality instead of a just a black boy or a thug
