    Memories of past bring with it associated pain     
Sometimes holding you down or drive you insane     
    Emotions felt just as it was on the day that's remembered     
The dark days bring feelings inside of a heart severed     
    To tear from the chest what's causing the hurt inside     
It should not matter if that piece of you has already died     
    Why does it still try to beat instead of decay     
If given a proper burial would not the pain go away    
    I embrace this pain on some of my better days    
It reminds me of what was lost so the memory stays     
    Still existing are days I ask why is it that I try     
The blackest of these are the ones I sit alone wanting to die
