They say nothing is stronger than love
I disagree 
As I have watched wars rage, rampant discrimination, selfishness, hate, and torture, I see eyes filled with fear
Fear drives the actions of most people 
Whether it be fear of loss of power, fear of loss of money, fear of loss of love, fear of insignificance, fear of being wrong, etc. 
Every time we have seen a bridge of love built in history, a closed-minded zealot has come along to burn the bridge in fear of something that will affect them. 
We have a leader who rode into office by harnessing a wave of fear created by streams of discrimination and hatred. 
In this climate, even the most positive among us begin to suffocate under the waters of hate. 
When will it end?  When will the tide turn and we feel relief from these overwhelming tides?  
I pray we find a way to shine light in the darkness before the Fear wins the war.
