I am a grown man with a dream for change
How could that be achieved without proper game
I've learned through the school of hard knocke's
Water in my cereal holes in my sneakers and socks
Father working two jobs to pay the lights, water, and rent
To me he is my super man Mommy Louis Lane I was young I didn't no dollars did not make cents
Now I know pay check to pay check my daddy worked hard
And mommy had food on the table every night all she wanted was a good report card
Life was different in my time we could live off of love
It feed my soul even if I had to curl up with a blanket and sleep on the rug
With my brother and sisters sometimes my cousin's on the weekend
Showing what makes us special she sing, I wright, he dance, one of us is going to win
My pledge to the hood is to never leave you behind
Never to be a victim and get out using my mind.......
