He told me a secretA secret you would never tellUnless you knew the person you told, would keep itIt wasn’t his fault that he was pushed down, and fellI believe I was the only one of his peers that he toldSomething happened to him that made him soulk in his soulHe hides behind layers of masksBut after thatThere is no going backHe was just a childAnd then he taught himself as a teenager to be wildHis uncle took his innocentsIt was at too close of a distanceThis little boy was rapedMolestedBy an uncle he should have been able to trust inAnd now his fathers side of the family never talks to the little boyGrowing upUsed up as a toyAnd his parents had a divorce, so he never trusted loveHe doesn’t believe anybody is meant to beTake it from meA connection like this is once in a lifetimeA tragedy in the smoke and in the mistI care so much for this person I once called mineHe has a good soul, but he hides because he got hitBy toxic arrows too many to get missedI loved and cared for the soul behind his personal personaHe tangles himself in high school dramaSmoking cannabisAnd selling itTo change his life from what it isSo I am fighting in no mans landSince he left our heartfelt islandHe has so many regretsAnd stillHe is closed off to what his heart and soul projectsBecause in a love fighting about green curtainsHe in himself is, and was, always uncertainHere is to this little boyWho is still lost out to the sideA crumpled up polaroidWho never, ever, got to see the whiteAnd golden lights
