Mother,

don't you know your baby is being torn limb for limb by man she knows not?

What of her father have you been teaching her?

She slip from bed to bed looking for comfort she never found in his arms,

what tales of him did you have her know?

Her blood adorn sheets she remembers not in the morning, her scent on bodies that remain faceless.

for how long will you let her wander?

Till which dawn will you let her remain unclaimed?

Her thighs carry secrets no man wants to know, her arms embracing a pain she has  long claimed to be her cross.

Her spirit seeks a home it has never seen, her soul cries to ancestors she knows not

Her heart bleeds, her conscious filled of dreams that never saw light,

when will this war be over?

He left you, he broke you, but are you ready to sacrifice her to this alter?

Anger,

resentment,

ain't all this a manifestation of your pain?

He  has hurt you, betrayed you, left you for another  and declared you unworthy, how can you not want revenge?

but don't you see you hurt her too?

Denying her a love she so desperately needs,  a void needing filling, when are you going to tell her the truth?

Mothers pray for their kids, how is it that you are her demise?

Save thy child, mother,

this was never about him

Realise her, her heart is still worth mending

Not all her soul is gone, there is still yet hope,
The light still shines, you haven't yet run out of time
