shot,
gunned down in broad daylight as the world watched,
you snatched a life and squandered it like it meant nothing

wear your mask and sanitize your hands, they said,
by so doing you keep your self protected
take your temperature and self distance, its for the preseveration of your life

now explain to me,
explain to me how you sanitize and cleanse your hands,
how your mask never fall throughout all this sharades as you blend back into your home with a smile

there is blood on your hands, like a parasite you latched on and drank till there was nothing left

your greed has taken from us so much more than money can ever buy,
a father, a brother, a son

what was the price that you deemed ok,
what justification did you give as you stole this much from us?

why,
why was i never told that the virus was not the only deadly killer lurking around my corridors?

how come it fled my mind that man was more deadly than diseases?

you had a gun,
a barrel full and fingers that are trigger happy,
your hands were bare, with claws that were ever so ready to take a life

you have always wanted what never belonged to you,
always determined to fight to the grave a war wedged on lazy hands

you stole from me,
took from me,
and all i ever heard, all they ever said,
wear your mask, sanitize your hands, its all  for the preservation of your life
