You released my hand
When I needed support.
  I fell to the ground
 Without getting up.

You hit me in the face
 With the words:
 "I don't love you anymore..."
"You can leave".

I felt like at the theater,
 Without spectators,
The script was bad,
 The setting was good.

  You released my hand
When I was squeezing you harder,
For fear that you might fall,
 I fell harder and harder.

  You released my hand,
That's how I learned to fly.
I felt my soul half dead,
My body half alive.

  You released my hand,
But you were still holding my soul captive.
 I found a way out,
 Without coming back to you.

I try to find a balance,
Without getting hurt,
But we can't pretend to be healthy,
When we are sick enough.

You released my hand,
But you lost the love from my heart.
For you, they were just words,
For me, they were more than my life.
