Don't Love Me Read Count : 68

I beg you... Don't love me for what I can't be,
Waiting to change myself just to please you.

I don't think you can understand,
But people like me,
Often choose loneliness
Instead of other company.

Don't fall in love with the words
You think I will say,
I often prefer not to say anything about myself.

You don't have to try to fix
My broken parts inside me,
Because fixing, I wouldn't be the same.

You don't love me for what you think I can be,
The disappointment hurts
And I don't want to be fake in front of you.

Don't love me
For what others tell you about me,
No one really knows me
The way I know myself.

Don't love me
To tell me after
I'm not what you're looking for,
Don't rush to judge me
Like others before you.

Give me love for who I am,
My way of being,
Don't fall in love with an illusion:
"What would it be like if she will think differently?"
