Today I want to talk about a friend,
He is the most loving friend I know,
I am sure you have heard of Him,
Or better still even meet Him,
Everyone who encounters Him surely has no regrets.

You see,this friend of mine met me at my lowest,
When I thought I could not go on with life,
He came and told me you are not alone,
Death was standing at my door,
But His presence brought life.
When darkness tried to steal my joy,
His light drove it away.

Imagine a friend that gives His life for you,
Where can you find such a friend,
His promises are eternal,
His words are living,
His presence is peaceful
And His love is just out of this world,
Ever since I met Him I dont regret it.

Even though I do nothing but hurt Him,
And my actions break His heart,
He always forgives me and welcomes me back to Him,
When I lose my way and sense of direction,
He goes out of His way to look for me,
And when I push Him away,He always tells me He will wait for me.

How I could write all about this Man,
He was royal when He met me,
A servant He became to save me,
I was condemned to death for my sins,
But all that punishment He bore for me,
How then can I not talk about this Man.

I only ask this question,
Have you met Him?
When you seek for wisdom,
Seek for my friend for He is a teacher,
Are you troubled by life?
Well He is the Prince of Peace,
Are you hungry and thirsty,
Guess what?He is the living water and bread of life,
Is life tossing you around and it weighs you down,
He says,"Come to me and I will give you rest."
I begin to guess that you know Him by know.

When the storms of life almost drowned me,
My friend told me,Be still and worry not,
When I needed to be loved,
He gave it to me freely,
In fact He is the epitome of love,
He become my foundation,
You are asking how,
Well He is the Rock of Ages,
And in my darkness,He lit a light for me,
He washed me from my filth,
And a new name He gave to me,
That name is salvation.

And so ladies and gentlemen,
Without further ado,
I want you to meet my friend,Jesus,
This man changed my life in a way I could not imagine,
I know you are asking why am being too religious,
Well I am not religious at all,
And I am not denying my faith,
Dont get me wrong,
Everyone can be religious,
In fact everyone is religious,
But not everyone can be a Christian,
And guess what I am a Christian.

I know that life is not a walk in the park,
The path is full of thorns and trials,
But the difference is Jesus,
The fact that He is with me makes things just better,
How I wish you could meet my friend and get to know Him,
He is waiting for you,
He is longing for you to know Him,
And that is why I ask,
Will you meet My friend?
