I am vulnerable. You are vulnerable. We are all vulnerable. There are some of us who care that we are vulnerable and try to hide it. There are those of us who don't care, or at least allude to not caring. We all share the same fear though, no matter how deep inside it may be. We all have those nights where we lay awake, breath becoming shallow, heartbeats going from normal to panicked. Nights where we think about who we REALLY are, and what we really mean. We all come to the same conclusion at some point in our lives. We mean nothing. But we are life, so we mean everything. Everything and nothing at the same time. We can't prevent natural disasters. We kill each other. By force, with pollution, with words. We are powerless. But the humanity in us is not this, but humanity is what we can feel. What we can inspire and make others feel, should be revered and envied. For a single person can inspire millions. A single person can change the difficult, heartbreaking, and exhilarating world we live in. Those moments of bliss we experience when we laugh til we cry, or the adrenaline rush we get from doing something we really shouldn't means more than anyone could imagine. To love in our race is a beautiful thing. Hate is ugly. We are polar opposites in each other. Yet, somehow we live. We cry together, laugh together, live in our misshapen interpretation of harmony together. This is what makes us nothing, but also makes us everything.

- I just picked up my phone, and the words kinda flew. :)

  • Great story. I loved your last comment. That is one of the reasons why I created Writer's Outlet for those moments when you have a lot to write and you pick up your phone or tablet and just write.
