There lived an old farmer with his three sons in a village of shilakaya.Shivonje -their aged father was now on the edges of dying due to his old age he had counted down a century. Shivonje was a very hardworking farmer who filled his granaries with foodstuffs from his large piece of land near river Isukhu.

Though he was a hardworking farmer his three sons Shimoli,Shimochi and Ambalwa,were the lazy bones you and me know of.One day Shivonje fell sick.He had suffered from celebral maleria before and so his body was weak.He was about to die.

So he called his sons and told them,"my children, before l die,l...wa...nt...to tell you...some... secret.Under the ground in our field, there are some hidden treasures.If you dig the land properly, you will surely find them".

So saying,Shivonje-the old farmer died.The boys performed the funeral rites of their father.Life had to move on,then one day all the three brothers went to their field of Shikata,and began to dig the land thoroughly in the afternoon hot sun from one end to the other in order to find the hidden treasures.But they did not find anything.They were disheartened and very disappointed.

Now the the eldest son Shimoli,told his two brothers to sow the seeds in the land,as the land had already been ploughed thoroughly.So they planted maize, beans and vegetables.

After a few months, now the harvest season was approaching and the crops had done marvelous in their field of Shikata.They reaped the harvest and from the sell they made a large profit.

Now the eldest brother Shimoli,told his two brothers,"Brothers,l have understood what our late papa meant by the "hidden treasures". The hidden treasures are the good crops and bumper harvest we found, only by digging the land properly and sowing the seeds in Shikata.
