Greed At It's Lowest Read Count : 145

I have been recently thinking about business and the company owners. There are people around the United States, who are extremely wealthy yet refuse to pay any more than Federal Law requires. This disgusts me like any humanitarian individual. The thought and ideology that you need the law to suggest that you don't have to pay any more than a small portion of a living wage goes far beyond greed. Most people shouldn't need something word for the law to know the difference between right and wrong. We have billionaires who have as many as seven or eight mansions, millionaires who have condos in at least seven or eight countries. You have these business leaders and owners use the law as an excuse they don't have to afford the people who are making their are making their wealth for them to make a standard living.
What interests me, is the fact that our living wage is relatively a quarter underneath what it should be. Most people, only think it's half but this is not a correct notion. As we go back in history before the United States got involved in World War II women typically lived it home, but a handful worked part-time jobs. After World War II, mostly men were at War while many women were doing factory jobs as well as taking care of their children, who was also doing odd jobs to help with the war effort. After World War II, Men came back to an economy which have been depleted and there weren't enough jobs to go around.
To make matters more complicated, women wanted to continue working. It's a fair notion, when you get a taste of Freedom you typically want more. You crave that freedom, because if makes you feel more whole and have more at your fingertips to control. At the same time, we basically had twice as many people who wanted to enter the workforce. With women earning lower wages, some businesses took advantage of the situation to pay women less than they were paying the men and get the same amount of work out of them.
As years progressed, we needed the higher economy and job availability. The trouble was, our country was unprepared for this moment in major change which sweeped each state. Our nation has progressed in a way that we would not expect, and our leaders were not prepared to handle. Over time, we've made more jobs available, however, there are more people out there who want to work without having access to the proper resources to find a job which they can handle. The focus on getting people jobs that they can do and be well paid for just difficult for some people to grasp. Opportunities don't always necessarily pop-up, but there needs to be someone there who is attempting to make more opportunities to pay people to work for a fair wage.
The reason a single person has to take at least two or three jobs is because costs were raised based on both men and women working. So it's not one person per house, but two people with jobs supporting their families. In turn, this hurts the single people living by themselves he want to own a home or a vehicle. This is a major fact which is overlooked by most of our leaders. This is the guiding fact why people need a Higher Living wage than an even $15 an hour. Upon standard ideal, in some states you may need $25 to $30 an hour, for a standard living cost like in Illinois. Some states with weaker economic stability can survive at $15 to $20 an hour without serious repercussions to each individual.
It's time for these companies to stop using the minimal requirement as an excuse. Most companies make several million dollars per year. The people that are working for you shouldn't need assistance to live from the government. That comes from our taxes, but something else you may not realize as government officials is that that money will still come back to you. Most of the money people spend is taxed by the government. Whether you buy a car, or a book there's usually a sales tax. This means most of that money will come back to the government to either way.
If these companies want to use an excuse the law isn't strong enough, maybe we should have some authoritative lost and end free trade. Maybe we should start requiring business owners making over a certain amount to start paying it back to the people forcibly. That might catch some people's eyes on this issue. Just because there is a minimum law, doesn't mean it's a good excuse to be refusing to pay people a good wage and make sure they're working in safe healthy conditions. The healthier of the environment, the better efficiency your worker has. This has been proven on numerous occasions. Just like adding music to the workplace, it was once thought that it would be a distraction, but it has been proven most people respond to music and tend to move at the set tempo. Also orchestral music has calming effects reducing accidents and negative emotions. As far as healthcare goes, you win over loyalty with love if you prove you care about the people working for you. It's time for people in the United States to change their tunes, and realize how hard it is for a normal individual.
I would like to pose a question to these Business Leaders. Would you be willing to go to one of your workers home and live with them for a day? Most of you might say well it's just a day, but my guess is you wouldn't be willing to make that effort. The buck stops with you as the individual, and that means it's your choices that matter and affects the way your employees are living. It's what you choose to do which matters and that moment is now.
