Statistics Is Not Humanity Read Count : 142

I am often baffled by the continuous amount of racism in the United States of America. I try making the effort to wrap my head around the numbers and ask myself if there is a reason for outrage and dissanonce of the people. But the truth lies with this one fact, when we use statistics it is nothing but an excuse for our own misdeeds. When we focus on nothing but the numbers, we don't accomplish anything. All we do is have the knowledge to know what's happening, but not the suggestions on how to combat it. There's always outrage over racial tensions, tensions about gender affiliation, and those about rights and beliefs. The truth is that we are humanity, and we make up the choices which affect our lives. If we don't like the numbers, we can make the effort to change them. You just have to be willing to accept this mantle, and take up the blade in honor of this long-standing conflict.
I was born Caucasian, and a majority Caucasian neighborhood. Only a handful of people live in this area, who are a different race or religion. Truth be told, I didn't know there were any other races until I was around eight years old. I never thought of a skin color or a person's race being part of any kind of problem. I had always thought it was just a bad person. The numbers are always going to be there though, and the more information we we gathered, the more we begin to understand the origins of these problems. Poverty, being among one of the biggest problems for different races besides those born in the caucasian skin. What it comes down to though is one thing, and that is our judgement of others.
As I mentioned before, the numbers will always be there. But those numbers do not change just because we stare at them. It is our decisions, our choices, our actions which affect these numbers. We are people, which is not to be taken for granted. We are powerful beings, with the ability to twist fate to our own designs. What would you prefer to do about these numbers? Are you the kind of person who would prefer standing about while others do the work, or would you prefer to be out there trying to make things happen? We can make amazing things happen, and statistics our frightening things when we look at them.
Let's work together as Humanity to change these statistics? Don't be afraid of things that you don't understand, and embrace the knowledge that you don't understand by opening yourself up to humanity. This is how it begins, with a single person. Each life is precious and valuable. Let's work together as one unit to help change people's lives. Lets start building a better world.

Multinationals and racism in America create chronic problems of poverty and unemployment as well as underemployment. A destitute or penurious person is inflicted by fate where someone is affected by the policies and laws of the land - what you realized in this article because being a Caucasian is neither a sin nor a crime.
