Thump!Thump!Thump! The only sound she could hear was the pounding of her heart as she sprinted through the dark, cold, frightening woods. She tried running as fast as she could but the oozing mud covering the ground sucked up her feet and made it unbearably hard to continue on. Exhausted, she trailed off and found a dry, clean patch of ground littered with crisp red, orange and yellow leaves. "This will do..." she gasped in between harsh shallow breathes and collapsed to the ground. Mud caked her dry, scratched, dirty skin and her hair was tangled in a giant mess. Her clothes looked like rags, ripped and smeared with dirt. She let out quick, raspy breathes as she shivered on the ground, she coughed out  a deep, raspy cough that turned into a coughing fit. She groaned and touched her dry throat in pain.  "Water..." she croaked. 
           "Hey! We know your there!" Yelled a deep male voice with an edge of irritation. Bam! Pain seared through her side and darkness enveloped her.
