A SMILE IN A TEAR Read Count : 118

For me there’s no difference
In sorrows of my abandoned heart or
The joys I experience;

And would not distinguish
A tear and a smile;

For both are reasonable parts of life,

While the tears purifies, teaching
Secrets and hidden meanings of life,
The smile takes me near the sense of
Glorification and boons life gives to enjoy;

For both are reasonable parts of life,

A tear unites so many broken fragments
While smile decorates them, then;

Both save me from the hunger of
Unknown things, instilling love and beauty
In the depths of my soul;

For both are reasonable parts of life,

I desire not to be satisfied
For the most satisfied are the most
Wretched and miserable in mankind;

It’s better to sob and smile in myself
Than to sigh in pain of longing and yearning

While tears are like sunflower folding petals
When the moon approaches,
Smile is unfolding of the same at the dawn
To kiss the drops of dews;

And now I know life,
A tear and a smile;

Life like a water
As vapor it evaporates
As cloud it returns back

For both are reasonable parts of life,

Life is a story of parting and meeting,

And would not distinguish
A tear and a smile.
