The day is cod dark and dreary iIt rains and the wind is never wearyThe vine still clings to the mouldering wallBut at every gust the dead leaves fallAnd the day is dark and drearyMy life is cold dark and drearyIt rains and wind is never wearyMy thoughts stills clings toThe mouldering pastBut the hopes of youth falls thickIn the blastAnd the days are dark and drearyBe still sad heart and cease repiningBehind the cloud the sun is still shiningThe fate is common fate to allInto each life some rain must fallSome days must be dark and dreary
