I do something when I'm in a bad conversation or overhearing someone's vomit of conformity. I'll pull myself out of it entirely and do a mental exercise of contemplation. What might of lead their thinking and their journey to this moment. The removal of myself mentally, lowers the stakes of this person's intolerable annoyance for me. That contemplation allows me to gain more compassion and understanding, relief of impatience for the end and life in the moment.
