Whispery voices,

tell me you love me.

I don't know if you're real

But you're always here.

Kiss my ears with your small voices.

Wrap around my brain like spaghetti noodles.

I'm in love with you.

I don't know if you're real

Touch my heart with love as you speak.

People come and go,

But you're always here.

Ooh la la la, whispery voices.

You're here in my loneliest hours.

They aren't real, says a stranger.

Stranger, I can't trust you.

My spirits have been shattered before.

They're not real, says a lover.

Of course you would say that...

You only want kisses, you're in it to win.

They're not real, says my mother.

I thought I could trust you, mommy.

Call me names in the dark, make me weep.

They're not real, says my puppy.

Lay my head on your furry shoulder.

Oh, Amore.

If you only knew.

If you were only still with me.

If you were only here.

Run in the rain, bare skin exposed.

The whispery voices, sing through my mind

And out through my nose.

Kiss me voices.

Hug me rain.

Cuddle me, old puppy pal.

I love you voices...

They're not real, says the psychiatrist.

I love you voices.

I don't care what they say.

Please don't ever disappear...

You're always here...

Even when no one else is.

I love you, whispery voices!

(Amore, Brooklyn, Hurricane, Furry, Harrison, all my past cats and turtle, I love you all very much, too. You will always be in my heart.)
