You were light in an otherwise dark world. Like fireworks exploding across the warm July sky. Spring meadows filled with butterflies awakened me from my haunted dreams and with the tug of your long skinny hands pulled me into the sunlight. Your innocence invaded my spirit and wiped the cob webs clean from my clouded mind. You were perfectly and unapologetically you. Never allowing me to see the crab of your zodiac you showed me mountains and oceans alike. You were a lone tree standing firm through all of the storms I raged against you. Offering me a higher ground to climb to when the floods of my emotions rose too high for me to keep my head above water. You understood that my soul could never be teathered so like a June bug in summer you tied a string around my leg and threw me into the open sky. Never letting go but allowing me to explore the world from which I had hidden from for so long.
