He wanted her, needed her. With every breath he took, his brain fired with thoughts of her sound, her beautiful body, her husky voice and laughter. His mind floated to the dimly lit room he had visted her in, the sparkle of her lip gloss when she had smiled at him in the golden light she barely let hit her olive skin and pretty features. Goddamn, he felt such a longing inside him! He thought he was so clever, too, hiding a small photo in his wallet, behind the picture of him and his lovely wife on his wedding day. It was to keep the illusion of happiness in front of all those who peered within it, and all he needed to do was slide out the photos, switch them whenever he saw her and just like that, he was a bachelor again dating this beautiful, goregous tease he loved. He was oh so careful, switching the photos, abandoning his ring in the car or leaving it at the nightstand before he met up with her in the morning, constantly making the excuse of having to start such a busy day in the office--he lucky to have such a naive and understanding wife, he was lucky she was so forgiving to him every time, placing the ring back on his finger when he came back with a soft smile on her face, kissing him with a little peck and thereby staying as the domestic couple she always dreamt of and he somewhat needed. His phone buzzed. Once. Twice. He grinned, picking up the sleek black device and put in his pin, tightening up the collar of his tie as he saw the words lay in front of him in utter decadence: "I'm thinking about you again. I want you." Oh, he could hear her voice so closely to his ear as he read such words! He was enraptured by them, mildly aroused as he imagined her right behind him, leaning in with skinny arms over his broad shoulders, giggling lowly, semi-thick tanned lips hooked at the rim of his ear. He looked over at his watch, reading the time and seeing it was a quarter to five. He had worked for a while, filing through papers and was a long conference away to be done. He scanned his phone, shaking his head as he read her name again. Again. Again. He bit his lower lip, placing his palm at his cheek. "Emilia." He chuckled softly. She was foolishly brave having her full name there, knowing just at any point that his darling wife could easily look over and see it. But luckily she rarely texted him like this, she wasn't this needy. He was lucky for that, extremely. Slicking a hand through his gelled ebony hair, he cleared his throat before typing a small answer back, tearing his gaze the moment his door opened. It was a colleague and his assistant, asking him if he was ready to go to the conference. He nodded, taking his phone deep into his pocket. "Yes, I'm coming right away." He answered, smiling brightly and swivled from his chair, fixing his suit and tie just a bit nervously. He strided towards his colleague, clearing his thoughts. He was now in the business mode, knowing all too well where he standing--he was close to the promotion of his dreams, almost promised to be the boss of the company. He was ready for it. "Atta boy, Kane," His buddy said, patting his back. He feigned a smile, nodding back and they made their way towards the conference room. He was surrounded by sturdy men, hardworking people who earned it all but they grew weary every time he entered the room--which was good. Very good.--and he took his seat in front with sprial notebook set, his bright blue eyes focused on the presentation above. His mind split in two different directions. The presentation and Emilia. Emilia and the presentation. She was his reward for making it through, and damned if he was going to miss out on this. The unfocused whispers turned clear and he spent his time well, but stayed silent of his opinions on the products and whatever else was being told. Kane looked at the clock. It was almost time to meet her, well, that was until his wife called just as they were wrapping up saying something that got his attention automatically. The curse finally came true: She was pregnant. (So, this was just swirling along in my head and I don't know what to do with it entirely. I was just grasping at straws. I was gonna write more but I'm unsure of it. Um, we'll see. Does it interest anyone? And does anyone want to bother looking up their names? Because I'm hoping people still do that...every name I write has a meaning so...yeah. Just putting that little detail in here, too.)
