It wasn’t time to let her go, but he did it any way.  Her broke her heart all at once, without a word left to say.  She shed a tear and knew he would, for all to see in daylight.  But when she left, she left alone and made a wish that very night.  “Never let him touch my soul, the way he did before.  For now I know he wasn’t true when he said the words ‘ I love you more’.  Let him fall where he may in the woods so dark and cold until the day we meet again, a story never told.”
