We all have demons
Taking away our sanity
Divided by all these sermons
Keeping us locked in our vanity.
We fight a lot
Who's right and who's not?
Is our worth something that can be bought?
Can what was taught be untaught?
Is our unity a possibility or just a mere thought?
We are so ever committed,
To misunderstanding each other
Throwing insults, throwing shade
Why are we angry at each other?
Can't we just help each other?
Life is worth more than class
More than money
More than fame.
Life is talking to strangers
Helping fallen ones rise
Sharing your only bun so that we all have a bite
Life isn't what I tell you.
To me it's seeing light in the dark
Beauty in the beast
Sun in the storm.

Life is having passion and compassion.
