Another sleepless night
My mind determined to wonder,
100 miles a minute 
Uncontrollably I ponder.

What will be my next step?
In my lifes journey,
Will I live to see tomorrow 
Or end up on a gurney

As I try to be the very best
Person I can be,
My heart beats with compassion 
My veins bleed with integrity.

Will I walk this earth alone
Searching high and low
For someone who will cherish me
Give me that constant glow

I begin everyday with a smile 
So the ones around me wont see
The heartache and the emptiness
Thats taken over me.

So many things I would change 
If I had a chance
Id be a better mother
Instead of sitting. I would dance 

Although I cant fix my wrongs
I can shine bright thru all my rights
Because im a solid as a woman gets
That what helps me sleep at night
