Time and time again I find myself trying to block out memories of you, but, more so memories of us. The sounds of joy, sounds of life, sounds of never ending love that once was. Memories of you laying beside me day and night, so peaceful, so natural, so heavenly. Memories of countless times I would whisper my love to you from behind as I caressed your hips and kissed your warm gentle skin. It's as if I can still feel your soft touch on my arms, hearing you say you love me and not to let go... I want to forget the first time I ever said I loved you because I still remember the last. I still remember the olive green dress, I still remember the dark lip stick, I still remember the 6 inch strap heels, and I still remember the last broken kiss. It plays over and over in my head. Scene 1; Front Door Sunday morning: goodbye kiss so dull, so effortless, so somber yet at the end not knowing it would be the last. These loose memories of your love still linger and I try to forget them using others as shields, but your love is too strong to be broken, too real to be replaced, too true to be unwritten, it's just too you.
