Watch me as I fall asleep 
Slowly kiss me on the cheek 
Gentle and ever so sweet
Nothing makes me feel more at ease 
Than having you right next to me
Simple as it’s stated 
I wish we would’ve made it 
But your kisses turned bitter 
And your stares were blank
No expression on your face
It’s sad to say because I don’t know the truth 
Did you fall out of love with me? Or was it ever really true? 
I can never really know 
Until time comes to tell 
Because I need to be away from you 
I have to move on and not dwell
Healing is my next relationship so is self love 
I gave all of mine away in hopes of being the one. 
So it’s time for me to give it back to who it really matters. 
This heart and mind will heal and soon be unshattered.
