Do you see me
The scars on my wrist, or the pain in my eyes
Do you notice how hard I try to make you proud
How I push myself to the edge everyday just to be seen as important 
Do you even care
Sometimes I think that the world is better off without me 
That I’m just a waste of space
Like I was born at the wrong time, in the wrong place
The demons in my head are getting louder and louder
Telling me what a failure I am if I mess up
Do you know that everyday I’m looking for an escape
An escape from everything in life
To be free from myself
To relinquish my inner demons
Letting go of all the self hate I feel inside
But I remain in this fight to live
Not letting the darkside take over
Everyday is a continuous battle and I’m just trying to get by
